Press Release | Collaboration announced between Telework Association and Henley Management College

The Telework Association is pleased to announce that it has agreed in principle to join together with the  Future Work Forum at Henley Management College for the provision of services to members. Both organisations produce publications, run events and provide advice to their members on the implementation of new working practices, particularly remote working. By collaborating on the provision of these services they will be able to provide improved benefits for the members of both organisations.

Henley Management College is one of the major sponsors of Work Wise Week and Peter Thomson, Director of the Future Work Forum will be speaking at the Workwise UK Summit on May 3rd which launches Work Wise Week.  He will also be running a seminar on ‘Working and Managing Wisely in the 21st Century’ on May 8th as the key event on the business focussed day of the week. Details of the events during the week can be found at www.workwiseuk.org.

The Future Work Forum (www.henleymc.ac.uk/fwf) has been in existence since 1992 and the Telework Association (www.telework.org.uk) since 1993 and both organisations have collected together a wealth of information on the impact of flexible working, home working and other new work patterns. The focus of the Future Work Forum has been on the organisational and managerial issues but it has also studied the wider social, economic and environmental issues.  The Telework Association has built an unrivalled reputation for the information, employment opportunities, practical advice and support it offers to home-based workers and those working from telecottages and alternative workplaces.  By combining their interests the two organisations will be able to provide a more comprehensive range of services to members, details of which will be published in the next few weeks.

Peter Thomson said “Both organisations have over the last decade promoted the use of new ways of working for the benefit of organisations and individuals.  This is also the purpose of the Workwise UK initiative and it is therefore appropriate that this announcement should coincide with Work Wise Week.”

Welcoming the announcement, Brian Higton, Chairman of the Telework Association noted that the Future Work Forum and the Telework Association have collaborated on many initiatives over the last twelve years and looked forward to the opportunity to work even more closely with the Future Work Forum.
